ABOUT B.Sc NURSING PROGRAMME
The B.Sc Nursing programme is a four year full time programme comprising eight semester including internship which prepares B.Sc Nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and midwifery in a variety of health care setting nationally and internationally. The programme is focused on developing critical care and thinking, skill proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. It prepares student to become responsible professionals by following code of moral values and fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities. Students are provided with opportunities to learn a whole range of skills, training and values in addition to acquiring knowledge related to nursing practice and profession.
The whole curriculum is based and prepared according to the syllabus and guidelines given by INC, Delhi. The faculties involved are well qualified and experienced to take responsibilities and create learning environment to interact and facilitate the learning with competencies required for the functioning within the scope of nursing practice.
The college is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow.
ANMs are regarded as the grass root workers in the health organization pyramid and is a two year diploma course.

Admission Procedure Auxiliary Nurse Midwife
- The minimum age for admission is 17 yrs as on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission is 35 yrs.
- Minimum Educational qualification
- a: Candidate with science who has passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
- b: Candidates are also eligible from State open School recognized by state Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
- c: English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 or being for admission to B.Sc (Nursing).
- Color blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
- Candidate shall be medically fit.
- Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
- Students shall be admitted once in a year.
- The minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December f the year in which the admission is sought.
- The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
- The minimum educational requirement is passing of 12 years f schooling (10+2 year course) recognized by CBSE/ Ice/ SSSCE/ HCE or a recognized equivalent examination.

Selection of candidate is based on entrance examination (CET) conducted by ABVMU followed by counselling.

Selection of candidates is based on interview and conducted by GIMSAR.
